Character Creator 5 to the Unreal Engine 5.6’s third-person
First, download the plugins at https://www.reallusion.com/auto-setup/unreal-engine/default.html
Download and install. In the folder, copy the content folder. And past that in your Unreal’s project folder by right-clicking on your project in the Unreal’s library,
Go back to where you copied that content folder and copy the plugins. Find where you installed the 5.6 version of Unreal. In that folder, open the folder that is called Engine and paste there,
Run your project……. Click edit and plugins… Click Reallusion on the left side back and turn on both plugins…. Click All Plugins and type in the search bar, interchange. Turn off everything. ( This will turn off anything that use the interchange framework like fab)… Restart the engine. I would use this project for character creator’s characters and merge a character with another project.
In CC5,, after you make a character. Click file, export, fbx, clothed character. Change Maya to Unreal Engine 5.6.. Under Mesh and Motion, choice Mesh only…… Click Delete hidden. Click Export
In your Unreal project, make a folder… Import your character fbx to the folder. A window will pop up and pick a shader….. Watch me for the import settings
After everything is imported….. Open the third person’s blueprint and change the skeleton to your character and save
